ABSTRAK

         Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa Kelas II SD Negeri 1 Mranti Kecamatan Purworejo Kabupaten Purworejo dengan menerapkan metode pembelajaran Problem Based Learning. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini menggunakan model Kemmis dan Mc Tagart. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam 2 kali siklus. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa Kelas II SD Negeri 1 Mranti Kecamatan Purworejo Kabupaten Purworejo yang berjumlah 22 siswa. Data hasil penelitian diperoleh dari angket dan hasil observasi. Tekhnis analisis datanya menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa Kelas II SD Negeri 1 Mranti Kecamatan Purworejo Kabupaten Purworejo. Rata-rata motivasi siswa mengalami kenaikan dari pra tindakan yang hanya 67 % naik pada siklus I menjadi 74% dalam kategori cukup. Sedangkan, hasil rata-rata setelah siklus II naik menjadi 82 % dan masuk dalam kategori baik. Cara meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dengan metode Problem Based Learning dengan melaksanakan tahapan pembelajar: mengorientasikan siswa kepada masalah, mengorganisasikan siswa untuk belajar, membantu penyelidikan mandiri atau kelompok, mengembangkan dan mempresentasikan hasil karya, menganalisis dan mengevaluasi proses pemecahan masalah.

        The aims of research to increase the learning motivation of Class II students at SD Negeri 1 Mranti, Purworejo, Purworejo Regency by applying the Problem Based Learning method. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR). This study uses the Kemmis and McTagart model. This research was conducted in 2 cycles. The subjects of the study were the second grade students of SD Negeri 1 Mranti, Purworejo, Purworejo, totaling 22 students. The research data were obtained from questionnaires and observations. Technical analysis of the data using descriptive quantitative and qualitative. The results of this study indicate that the application of the Problem Based Learning method can increase the learning motivation of Class II students at SD Negeri 1 Mranti, Purworejo, Purworejo. The average student motivation increased from pre-action which was only 67% increased in the first cycle to 74% in the sufficient category. Meanwhile, the average result after the second cycle rose to 82% and was included in the good category. How to increase student learning motivation with the Problem Based Learning method by carrying out the stages of learning: orienting students to problems, organizing students to learn, assisting independent or group investigations, developing and presenting work, analyzing and evaluating the problem solving process.
